Forget your Angry Birds and Candy Crush Saga, Snake – the original and best mobile game – is making a comeback.

There are many things we miss about our old Nokia’s – the ability to send a text that’s not filled with autocorrect fails, being able to drop them without having a mini-heart attack, and, of course, Snake.

And now one of these things will be rectified, as Snake will FINALLY be available for iOS, Android and Windows phones from Thursday May 14.

Snake Rewind has been developed by original Snake creator Taneli Armanto in conjunction with Finnish mobile game developers Rumilus Design.

Snake Rewind will have 10 levels with ‘distinct visuals and music’, different types of special fruit with ‘unique powers and effects’, and, as the name suggests, will allow users to rewind the snake after it has crashed.

Taneli Armanto explained: ‘Snake Rewind takes the iconic elements and intuitive gameplay from the original Snake game and combines them with cool visual effects, sounds and innovative new features,’

We. Can’t. Wait.
