Women are stripping off and posing with bottles of coca cola in a bizarre new social media challenge.

The idea is that women hold a can of fizzy pop between their breasts – conceal their nipples to make the images vaguely tasteful and then snap a selfie.

The  #HoldACokeWithYourBoobsChallenge – which campaigners hope will match the popularity of the Ice Bucket Challenge – is meant to raise awareness of breast cancer.

And the craze has already gone around the globe with women from America, Russia and France posting their selfies to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to urge women to check their cleavage for lumps and bumps.

Kate Upton was one of the first to give it a go…

Then some Russians got in on the action…

It’s not me, it’s my short alleles.

Are you prone to incapacitating fits of the giggles? Apparently, it’s the fault of your genes, according to a new study.

Researchers from the Northwestern University in Illinois found that people with short variants of the 5-HTTLPR gene, which helps transport serotonin in the body, laugh or smile more easily.

For the study, published in the journal Emotion, volunteers were shown funny newspaper cartoons or a ‘subtly amusing’ clip from the film Strangers In Paradise.

Scientists filmed participants’ faces and then researchers who were trained in distinguishing real laughter and smiles coded their responses.

The experiment concluded that people with the short allele of the gene showed more positive expressions and responded with more genuine smiling and laughter than those with long alleles.

In fact, these people just feel more in positive or negative situations.

Man creates world’s largest functioning whoopee cushion; not everyone’s impressed

Man creates world’s largest functioning whoopee cushion; not everyone’s impressed http://ift.tt/1dblkNE alisonlynch2013

Meet YouTuber Onur Armagan. He’s pretty pleased with himself because he’s just made what he believes to be the world’s largest functioning whoopee cushion.

Which is a fairly decent day’s work in anyone’s book, surely. It’s fun for all the family.

Well, except for one hard-to-please family member.

Whoopee cushion gif final

If nothing else, this video clip uploaded two days ago and watched by almost 500,000 people proves what we’ve always known – that cats consider themselves vastly superior to their humans.

Because as Onur gleefully throws himself on his giant farting cushion, the camera slowly cuts to his cat’s face.

And, well, if cats could roll their eyes. So. Much. Shade.

As Onur writes below the clip: ‘My cat hates me. I think she’s secretly been planning my demise since 2011. It’s only a matter of time,… Read the full story http://ift.tt/1dblnZQ June 02, 2015 at 08:37AM
