Supposably, we’re all speaking gibberish and we don’t even know it
Supposably, we’re all seriously confuddled about what’s a real word, and what’s made up these days.
According to a new survey, almost three in four (73%) of Brits admits to using made up words, or muddled-up phrases, as part of their everyday language.
You might not notice them in spoken conversation, but they become glaringly obvious when written down. Think ‘different tact’, which should actually be ‘different tack’. Or, ‘for all intensive purposes’, which should actually be ‘for all intents and purposes’.
Also, what you’re currently experiencing is ‘hunger pangs’, not ‘hunger pains’.

Timelapse video shows puppies go from 11 weeks to 11 months as they run for their dinner
Some things never change. EastEnders storylines, Great British summer washouts, and, apparently, puppies losing it at dinnertime.
Redditor disillusioned posted this adorable timelapse of her Golden Retriever puppies Colby & Bleu yesterday with the note: ‘I’ve been recording my golden retriever pups running to dinner from 11 weeks to 11 months. Watch them grow!’
The 90 second clip has already had almost half a million views. Because puppies.
The most adorable thing about the clip is that, despite running the same race every day, the pups never quite work out how to corner properly.
As one Redditor comments: ‘If one of them could figure that [the cornering] out, they could get the blue sparks and a speed boost and win the race to the food every time.’
