Look. We’re all excited about Christmas.

The John Lewis advert is making us weep. Starbucks’ red cups are here. Costa’s (clearly superior, because they’re 10x more Christmassy) Christmas cups have arrived.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Because as wonderful as it is that Christmas is so close we can almost smell the roasting chestnuts, we all need to remember that something amazing is happening right now, and we’re letting it pass us by: Autumn.

The most magical time of the year. Crisp mornings, conkers, bonfires. And best of all, autumn leaves.

Let us all be Willow the mini pig.

Let us all take pure, unadulterated joy in frolicking in a pile of leaves.

Screw Christmas (for now, anyway). Autumn’s where it’s at.
