Pain au chocolat are great, but where’s the razzmatazz, where’s the showmanship? 

Our European pastries just pale in comparison when you see what they can now get in Hong Kong.

Because Sanrio, the people who brought us Hello Kitty, have now created a dim sum dessert based on their lesser known character Gudetama, a lazy yellow egg dude.

Not only is this pastry a brilliant, almost inconceivably bright, custard yellow colour, but, when you poke him with a chopstick, he will poo chocolate sauce. Yep.

That’s not all though. Poke him in the mouth and he’ll puke custard.

Yes, it’s disgusting but you can’t look away can you?
